Starting with my past, I had a rough childhood.  Many forms of abuse, abandonment, lost chances at going to college even though i had straight As and was offered a full ride scholarship to Brown University at 16, well i stayed to take care of my sister because of all of the sexual abuse we had gone through i couldnt bear the thought of leaving her alone., foster homes and many bad choices thereafter.  I got married really young and had a baby.  We soon divorced due to his physical abusiveness and total lack of respect for me as a person.  I started dating someone who then caused me to lose custody of my child because he spanked him and he was a deputy sherriff.  I was lost , searching for purpose in my life.  I started dancing for money to pay the bills, which led to many poor life choices of drugs and alcohol.   I finally over came it all when i became pregnant with my second child.  My current husband and i found a way to straighten our lives out and we then had one more child.  As a stay at home mom, I began studying yoga on  my own.  Developing a sincere interest and profound respect for yoga and people , suddenly the world seemed different.  All the bad that i had gone through in my life seemed like it led me here.  I finally found a purpose.  I have Fibromyalgia and have been dealing with the pain for several years now.  I have found that yoga really helps.  As much as i hate having such painful disease, i am grateful that it has given me the tools i need to help others.  I feel in tune with people and their feelings emotionally and physically.  My life purpose is to help others, whether they want to lose weight, increase strength , develop flexibility, peace of mind, reduce pain, reduce stress, improve the function of their bodily organs, work on injuries as they try to heal them, or just be there when they might not know what they are looking for , to guide them through their journey the best that I can to help any way that i am able to help as an instructor, a yogi, a friend.
