I am an experienced certified Yoga Teacher. I began teaching in 2007 and have since been teaching at various yoga studios, community centres, universities, retirement homes, and retreat centres. I currently teach at Chrysalis Yoga (Burlington), the Studio at Climbers Rock (Burlington), and Some Like it Hot (Oakville). My classes include Hot Flow, Hatha, Yoga for Climbers, Hoop Yoga, and Candlelight Yin. I also spent a season guiding yoga canoe trips in Algonquin Park. This past fall, I was traveling in Peru where I was teaching Yoga at an eco farm, trekking in the Andes, and learning about traditional plant medicines. In my dedication to bring yoga off the mat and into the wild, I have held a number of charity karma yoga events to help protect Canada's wild spaces. I am currently studying the Tantrik arts and sciences with Christopher 'Hareesh' Wallis through the Mattamayura Institute in Oakland, California (correspondence).

I have worked in a leadership role in various outreach and environmental endeavours including as an Outreach Coordinator, Conservation Youth Corps Crew Leader, Resource Interpreter, Outdoor and Nature Educator, Canoe Trip Guide, and Tree Planter. I have managed small yoga boutique, the Funky Buddha, in Peterborough, ON. In a recent position for the Nature Conservancy of Canada, I worked in an ecology centre on Alderville First Nation creating and facilitating empowering education programs for students and landowners (and providing yoga in nature experiences!).

I am a knowledgeable, energized, and creative self-starter who likes to work independently or as part of a team. I also have very strong interpersonal skills that have proven to be an asset in all of my employment positions. I hold a current Advanced First Aid certification and Reiki levels 1 and 2.
