I am currently the Wellness Center Manager in a continuous care retirement community that is managed by the National Institute for Fitness and Sport (NIFS).  In my current position, I teach between two and four group exercise classes each day.  The classes range from a Walking Group early in the morning, to a Balance Class that focuses on posture and stability, to Strength Classes where residents learn to use both dumbbells and body weight to exercise, to Pilates classes for people who want a little more of a challenge.  I also meet with residents and employees one-on-one to design individualized exercise programs to meet each person's goals.

Outside of NIFS, I do in-home personal training and small group training.  My small group sessions range from Pilates to interval training and I always offer plenty of modifications to make the workout harder or easier according to each individual's needs and goals.

As the former Supervisor of the fitness center at a premier resort in Tampa, and a program assistant in a previous position with IU Campus Recreational Sports, I have experience in not only launching an entirely new fitness program, but also enhancing and teaching in existing programs. Those programs have included both personal training of individual clients and fitness classes such as Pilates, Core and Stretching, Sports Conditioning, and Aqua Gym, and Circuit Strength classes in various facilities.  More than anything, I enjoy helping people stay healthy and meet their wellness goals. The combination of my experiences has provided me with the opportunity to learn about many facets of the fitness and wellness industry.
