- Tom Koziol
My name is Tom Koziol. I am from Omaha, Nebraska and I am a tennis instructor and pro shop owner. I teach basic, intermediate, and advanced tennis players all aspects of tennis.I have a very interactive, coaching style of instruction. I believe in constant communication and building a plan around each student at their own pace. We can work together whether you are a beginner looking to gain a variety of proper forms, or an experienced player looking to break old habits and build on your unique style.
My competitive career started very young. I learned tennis from a very early age, and loved it from the start. I played tennis in high school for all four years. My Sophomore year (2004) I made the varsity team and had the privilige of being coached by a psychologist. He taught us the psychology and strategy of tennis, a rare lesson that few students learn.. By my Senior year, I was captain of the team and helped develop many new Sophomores on our team. I ended my varsity career with a singles record of 45-4.
I graduated with honors Cum Laude from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2011 with a B.A. specializing in Psychology. All throughout my college years I gave lessons and continued to grow my tennis career.
I have certification from the USPTA as well as the NSAA. I currently have over 60 students and hundreds of customers. I have worked with all ages from 5 year olds to 55 year olds. I have done group lessons with families, as well as group lessons (clinics) at local high schools. The majority of my lessons are private one on one instruction which I believe fosters the most growth for beginners. I have helped students make varsity, be the top performers in their league, or simply learn the game.
