After building a family (I have three happy children and a loving husband), I became interested in fitness, since it became more difficult for me to manage my healthy weight and stay fit.  After a long road of hard work, fitness education and replacing bad habits with good ones, I reached my own weight-loss goals and transformed my life into one that is more happy, energetic and fulfilling than I ever thought possible.  Discovering the benefits of fitness not just for weight loss but as a lifestyle, it became my passion to share this with others and to encourage, guide and teach others so that they may reach their goals and transform their own lives through fitness.  Beginning with a basic Zumba certification, I began teaching one Zumba class per week at a local recreation center.  I quickly began studying and earned my AFAA Group Fitness certification (CPR/AED certification included).  I am now teaching three Zumba classes per week (on top of holding a full-time office-job and being a gung-ho t-ball mom for my two boys), while studying kickboxing and yoga, with the hopes of earning a kickboxing certification in September.  I will also be earning my Zumba Toning and Zumbatomic (Zumba for kids) certifications in early August.  I love this "job" of helping others become fit and feel good about themselves!
