A year after I delivered my first child at the age of 19, I started working out to lose that extra weight that did not automatically fall off. After 6 months of working out I was hooked and I started teaching aerobics in 1987. After making a living in the fitness world for 6 years, I decided to leave the trade and make a go at it in business. Even thought I left the fitness industry I continued to work out and maintain my healthy lifestyle. After hitting my 40s it became more difficult to maintain my lean body so I joined a fitness center and started going to the group exercise classes which re ignited my passion for helping women lead a healhier lifestye. I acquired my certifications to begin instructing again and took an evening job teaching at the fitness center that I was frequenting. I currently teach kickboxing, Spinning, and basic toning classes. I believe I am in better shape in my 40s than I was during my first stent as an aerobic instructor in my 20s. I find that women in their 30s, 40s, and 50s relate with me and respect that I have managed to stay fit.
