My teaching style focuses on safety in all phases of my practice for both my students and myself. I believe it is necessary to teach poses and educate my students at the same time. It is important for the students to know the benefits of a pose, the various modifications for safely moving into a pose and bringing a pose to “full expression”. For the more advanced students it is essential to provide information on how they can refine their poses and “play the edge” to take the practice further and continue learning more about themselves and yoga.
