PROFILE

I received certification in 500 Yoga Teacher Training in January 2012 and in May 2009 I was certified in the 200 Yoga Teacher Training both from the Yoga Polarity Center in Malverne, New York. Certified in June 2011 in Yin Yoga from Om Yoga Center in New York. As part of the 500 YTT program I mentored with my teacher, Mindy Frenkel, with whom as also I completed a workshop on the Yoga Sutras and meditation.

I began to practice as a way to maintain flexibility and strength. During my journey I discovered not just the physical but spiritual practice of Yoga.  My desire is to bring not only the physical and spiritual aspects of Yoga to my students but to teach them to relieve stress and anxiety in their lives. My style is Vinyasa Flow based in Hatha. I believe a strong practice shapes the body with its power and strength but also allows for moments of rest and reflection. I teach that Yoga is the key to the balance of the connection between body and mind.   I hope that my students can achieve physical and spiritual balance in my class and they sustain that awareness in their everyday lives.

I teach classes at the Yoga Polarity Center in Malverne, Breathe n Flow Yoga in Freeport, Atlantis Personal Training in Hewlett, Synergy Fitness in Merrick, Revolution Yoga in Rockville Center and the Yoga and Polarity Center in Malverne.  I am a Yoga substitute for classes at Sky Athletic Club in Rockville Center, South Shore Fitness in Oceanside and Equinox Fitness in Woodbury. I teach a Yin Yoga class at Breathe n Flow Yoga in Freeport, NY.
