My name is Regina Avenoso and I am a school teacher and a fitness professional. I have been certified since 1988 through The American Council on Exercise (ACE). My fitness career started in 1985 during the times of Jane Fonda and leg warmers, wow, how far we have come. Throughout the years I have taught: hi/low aerobics, step, gliding, rebounding, weight training, interval classes, dance, kick boxing, trx, and pilates. Currently I teach at Toms River Fitness and Aquatic Center and have been there for 18 years, prior to that time I worked at a facility called the Sweat Shop.
Presently I teach TRX Body and TRX Cardio classes, pilates and TRX pilates, step, step interval, core fusion, spin, and cardio weight training. My mentors throughout the years have been fitness professionals such as: Rob Glick, Andre Houle, Gay Gasper, Patrick Goudeau, and Calvin Wiley. During my classes I feel it is necessary to not only engage every member, but to educate as well during our time together. Members must have fun...so they come back, but need to understand how their body responds not only to exercise but to diet as well.
