My name is Sylvie and I am a certified personal trainer and nutritionist. I am also a mom, a yoga teacher and more recently... a cancer survivor!
I've been passionate about keeping healthy and fit my entire life. It began with years of dance training with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet as well as the Contemporary Dancers of Winnipeg. This is where I earned a solid appreciation for the dedication and strength required to be a graceful and successful dance artist. The dance world is very rough, and I, like many before me, succumbed to disappointments and injuries. Once I hung up my dancing shoes, I decided to continue on with academic pursuits. I went ahead and earned a bachelor of science in nutrition, and a personal training specialist certification with Can Fit Pro. Dance never completely left my soul however, and my journey lead me to continue on with training in Acting, Pilates, and Yoga. Though I no longer dance like I did before, the program I created called Ballet Body Bootcamp allows me to teach everything I love all in one class!
The mind-body connection and this balance in life has become more evident to me than ever before. I have gone through many life transitions and obstacles in a few short years and they have really served to allow a reconnection to my SELF, with renewed hopes, dreams and love.
My goal is always to help clients gain strength from the inside out. I like to use a holistic approach to fitness and wellness, focusing on the body mind and soul.
Some of my specialties include: bodyweight-only training, core conditionning, postural awareness, balance and strength training, weight loss, nutrition and diet analysis, yoga & the mind-body connection and kids yoga/creative movement.
