I began practicing yoga during college at UCF in 2003. The euphoria I left with after each class, AKA "Yoga Brain", kept me coming back for more and almost immediately I began to notice the mental benefits of increased focus and concentration, followed soon by the physical benefits of continued practice.
I've struggled with weight and self-image my entire life, but through yoga I found a base for which to build my own wellness even when in my worst shape and lowest confidence. With a steady practice I developed a standard of fitness and motivation that became dominant over the distorted self image and I learned to overcome the resistance and limits I placed on myself.
For 12 years I worked in the hospitality and customer service industry. While living in Miami in 2011, I decided to make a change into the health and wellness industry and received my 200 hour level yoga teacher training from Brickell Hot Yoga and was hired by fitness clubs and activity companies to offer classes to members, guests, clients, etc. I also trained to teach aqua aerobics and plan on training in several different formats.
