Early on, as a high school dancer and cheerleader, I was gaining experience leading others that would serve me well down the road. Unfortunately, it took me until I was thirty four years old to join an industry that I feel like I should have been a part of all along. My type A, left-brained side lead me to pursue a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. It served me well, but after five years of engineering I "retired" to become a stay-at-home-mom. One day, I heard about Zumba and tried a class at the local YMCA. I was totally hooked. I was born to do this. Zumba instructing soon lead to other fitness formats and to personal training. Now, I not only instruct and train for my employer, but also for my church. It is a part of my true calling.
