Kelly Erickson

I am a native Floridian, raised in Orlando.  My high school years were dominated by year-round competitive swimming and my studies.  I graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in telecommunication and spent three years working on air as a news anchor and reporter.  I left that industry to pursue a career in sales and was a successful sales representative and manager in industrial sales for more than ten years. 

I took a break from full-time employment to become a mom, and re-discovered my passion for sports and exercise.  Over the last 14 years I have inspired and pushed many YMCA members to improve their health through better diet and exercise.  I am easy to talk to and am told that I make people feel welcome when I meet them. In addition to teaching group exercise classes in a variety of formats and personal training, I also work as the Head Girls' and Boys' Swim Coach at JW Mitchell High School.
