- Started my fitness journey in 2010 when I came to Mississippi. I was over weight and was thought that doing triathlons would help me loose weight. I was wrong. I meet the right people who coached me and showed me that nutrition was a lifestyle and not just a short term fix. At the time they had a small studio where I taught one class a week which consisted of 60 minutes of TRX, Cycling, Rowing and Body weight exercises with the use of heart rate technology. I helped coaching boot camps and taught a spin class when a sub was needed. I got my certification in Group Fitness and Spinning. In 2013 I was diagnosed with two herniated disks and was introduced to Reformer Pilates. In 2014 I became certified with Balanced Body in Pilates. As the member base started to grow in the small studio setting which was called The Clinic at Action Chiropractic, we decided to expand and Guruz Fitness Studio was born in 2015. I was brought on as the studio manager and lead trainer in which I also do one on one personal training, small group training's and rehabilitation training on chiropractic patients. Guruz Fitness is a HIIT studio with MyZone heart rate technology where we do 60 mins and 45 mins classes where we incorporate Rowing, TRX, Airbikes, Boxing, Weights and body weight exercises.
Currently certified in Group Fitness. Spin, Reformer Pilates, Water aerobics and TRX.
