I was a competitive swimmer growing up and I have been a health and fitness enthusiast all of my life.  It wasn’t until, my mother-in-law suffered a series of strokes and needed my help gaining her strength back,  that I realized I wanted to help others become fit and healthy.   I knew exercise was going to help her tremendously so I created a daily exercise program for her that I helped her with since I knew she would not do it on her own.   I loved helping her with this so much that she said I should do this for a living.  I took her advice and became a personal trainer.   I worked at a small retirement community running their fitness center and training.   I also started teaching group fitness classes at local gyms.  I am currently the Group Fitness Manager at Fitness Evolution (formerly Gold’s Gym) in Silver Spring, Maryland where I also teach group fitness classes and personal train.  I teach Pilates at Blue Heron Wellness too.  Pilates has become my main practice and passion.  I love how Pilates changes your body:  you walk taller and look more confident, you lose pain in your neck and back, you increase core strength and your joints loosen up.  It aligns your body to allow for optimal health.  It is my goal to use my enthusiasm, energy and love for fitness to motivate and inspire others to live healthier and fitter lives.
