Mel Thomas

With a BS Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, I have been involved in helping children, adolescents, seniors and adults maintain and achieve their fitness goals through a variety of modalities.  I have been devoted to exercise, nutrition and wellness my entire career. I currently teach Zumba, Sculpting and Aqua Fitness in the beautiful resort area where I live. I teach at several different resorts in the area as well as our local recreation centers.  I also am asked to speak to civic groups and non profit organizations on the importance of Humor in relieving stress and maintaining optimum wellness.  I serve as an active Board member at the YMCA and have been a part of developing races, Zumbathon's and fitness programs in our community. I also work closely with the American Heart  Association.  My husband and I  also own a business devoted to corporate health and wellness called Advanced Clinical Services.  We develop and maintain wellness programs for employees and their families.  We are proud to include  the YMCA in our list of corporate clients.
