Sonja began her yoga journey while in recovery from a spinal injury.Slowly through the therapeutic teachings of Anusara yoga Sonja learned how to empower herself to find optimal alignment which led to freedom, strength and bliss inside and out. Through a regular yoga practice, Sonja encourages her students to find alignment in their bodies and a connection to their hearts.
Sonja draws on the inspiring teaching of Naime Jezzeny, Sue Elkind, John Friend, Noah Maze, Colin Matthews, and Christi-an Slomka.
Off the mat Sonja loves to care for animals, her own as well as those in need.
