Constance Piwtorak

Originally from Indiana, I graduated from Purdue University in 1988 with B.A. in Child Psychology and Criminal Justice. After relocating to Ohio on January 1, 1989, I continued by education, achieving my Education degree in 1993. My career in the fitness industry began with an interest in group fitness instruction. I obtained my first certification from AFAA in 1996. I began teaching fitness classes such as step, strength training and kickboxing at the YMCA in Marysville, Ohio and Honda of America Wellness Center. With my interest in the fitness industry increasing, I continued training through certification for Personal Training. On January 1, 2000, I opened my own fitness center in Marysville, Ohio. I was manager, trainer and fitness instructor while operating with a well-qualified staff of instructors and personnel. Upon leaving the Marysville area, I located the Athletic Club at Metro V in Dublin, Ohio. Applying for a position as fitness instructor and personal trainer, I moved into the position of Director of Group Fitness in October 2001. Having practiced yoga on my own for years, I decided to seek certification for class instruction completing my first training with Yogafit in 2002. I have since completed Levels 2, 3 and 4 plus specialty trainings. I have traveled for Yogafit as a Master Trainer as well teaching other instructors the safe and effective yoga of Yogafit. My training and instucting of a variety of fitness classes gives me the ability to offer diverse activities that promote healthy lifestyles. In 2009, I completed training and certification as a Wellness and Fitness Coach with Wellcoaches.  I now utilize my coaching skills while working with clients to create wellness plans for life.  I enjoy working with people of all ages and abilities but find special interest in assisting women to focus on proper goal setting throughout their life cycle including pregnancy. With the advancement of my yoga training and instruction, I feel that my career in fitness has come full circle. I now recognize the need to respect and guide the body into a fit state through a complete program of proper nutrition, cardiovascular, resistance and flexibility training. Recognizing this need for others and myself, creates a satisfaction that no body fat percentage can ever be compared to!
