Libby Burkhart

I am a 53 year old professional in the Newspaper Industry.  I have been employed for the last 23 years as the Business Manager (a Directors position) at the Telegraph Herald newspaper in Dubuque Ia.  I have been married 32 years and have no children.   I have traveled extensively throughout the world both alone and with my husband.  Every summer for the past 25 years, I include one service trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area on the Minnesota/Canadian border to work for the Forest Service building trails, renovating campsites and other duties.  Years ago, I was an active member of the Sierra Club and took volunteer trips that combined work and beautiful experiences.  I started doing yoga when I developed hip issues and those issues I once had are no longer a part of my life.  I am a rock climber and have climbed many peaks in the South Dakota/Wyoming area.  I lead backcountry trips in the Rocky Mountains and the Philmont Scout Ranch for teenage scouts and children.    I have always enjoyed being active and combining active activites with travel.
