I taught my first water aerobics class when I was 18 years old. I taught fitness classes including Hi/Lo aerobics and a Boot Camp type class at a fitness club while completing my undergraduate degree at Sacramento State University, Sacramento CA. I was the fitness director for an oganization that ran fitness programs in six Northern California athletic clubs while I was working on my Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology. I moved to Nevada to work as a fitness trainer for the security forces at the Nevada Test Site. I continued to teach fitness classes while working as an Exercise Rehabilitation Therapist. I taught physiology of aging classes at the local community college. I currently work at the Nevada Health Division where we license and certify medical and health facilities, and investigate complaints of abuse and neglect against the elderly. I continue to teach fitness classes before and after work because I enjoy the interaction with the student and the positive energy teaching gives me.
