Maurice Malcolm

I love the game of tennis and enjoy teaching others to help them develop their love for the game. I started out early on the courts at the hotels in Ocho Rios as a ball boy trying to make some money and as the years went by my game got stronger and I started working with others to help their tennis game grow. My earliest student, my brother Nicolas Malcolm has competed throughout Jamaica over the years and until his passing spent time and played on the courts of the San Souci hotel. He has played internationally in the Caribbean, Central, North and South America and Canada with a world ranking in the 800's. While working with Nicolas, I developed a reputation working at many of the hotel establishments in Jamaica eventually ending up in Kingston developing my own business. After 5 years, circumstances made it difficult for me to continue in Kingston and I decided to move to the states. Since moving to the states in 2000, I have worked at various tennis camps and programs along with developing my own private business which has continued to grow over the years. Currently I am working at one of the best tennis academies in the Northeast called Robbie Wagner Tennis Tournament Training Center with various locations including Glen Cove and Glen Head, NY.   I really enjoy teaching both adults and children alike. I teach both private clients and groups.  I am a motivating instructor working hard 40 hours/week to help my clients understand the skills it takes to win along with the mental part of the game that is so necessary in truly being a winner on the tennis court.

I have family in both Jamaica and the states. I love music, movies, cooking and relaxing in my free time. I spend a lot of my days on the tennis courts and feel lucky to be able to do so.
