Matthew Garavaglia

Matt recently moved from Winnetka, Illinois where for the past seven years he ran the largest platform tennis program in the country.  He has been head summer tennis professional at Winnetka Park District and Old Willow Club and was instrumental in introducing Beach tennis to the Chicago area.  He has his degree from Carthage College where he majored in sports and recreational management.  He is a 3 time singles tennis conference champion, a doubles tennis conference champion, with  a #19 National Paddle Ranking (2008-2009) and a #/// National Beach Tennis ranking (2011).  He has been a Member of Region 5 President’s Cup since 2006.  Other notable achievements include Co-Chair of the 2011 APTA Men’s and Women’s National and President’s Cup Tournament, Co-Chair of 2007 and 2012 APTA Mixed and Husband/Wife National Championship Tournament and a member of the Junior National Board in 2010.  He has published several articles in Platform Tennis Magazine and Racquets For Life Magazine. He is certified as an instructor in tennis, paddle and beach tennis by the different professional organizations.
