My interest in health & wellness began many years ago. As a college student, I majored in Biology and always found human anatomy and physiology fascinating. After working as a Medical Technologist for several years, I decided to stay home for 12 years to raise my 3 children. When the time came for me to enter the work world again, I knew it would have to be in another aspect of the health & wellness industry. I went to massage school and realized that I had found what I was searching for...a way to make a difference in the lives of my clients. I have always loved studying anatomy, but over the years, I've found the power of massage lies in not just treating the sore, tight muscles...it goes much deeper to the connection of our bodies with our minds.
About the same time that I started massage school, I also began doing yoga regularly. I had been asked over the years to teach yoga, but I have always been a believer that good, solid training was important before teaching yoga. Knowing enough about the human body, I truly believe that alignment is key to any yoga pose. I decided to become certified yoga instructor, and now I can incorporate my knowledge of massage, anatomy, and yoga into my work and teaching.
I started Kneaded Relief Therapeutic Massage 15 years ago and have added yoga classes in my home studio. I have been married for 32 years and have 3 grown children.
