YOGA TEACHER WENDY CULLITAN, E-RYT
I have been practicing yoga for over 15 years and quickly discovered that yoga is not only practiced on the mat, but off the mat as well-bringing me greater clarity, freedom of expression, and inner peace. Yoga quite simply changed my life. My personal self-discovery prompted me to become a yoga teacher in order to share this meaningful, life-affirming practice with others.
As a teacher, my intention is to guide my students through an invigorating practice that helps them connect breath with movement in order to develop flexibility, strength, mental clarity, and deep relaxation. My classes are fun and I teach to all levels-so students can move at their own pace depending on their energy level and mood on any given day. My wish for my students is that their time on the mat helps to open their mind/body/spirit experience-and that they leave class energized yet relaxed and at peace.
I am E-RYT certified with the Yoga Alliance and have gained additional knowledge from master teachers such as Todd Norian, Bryan Kest, Tias Little, Judith Lasater and Gary Kraftsow.
I also trained with Baron Baptiste, earning an additional 100 hours in training the Baptiste Power Yoga Institute. Most recently, I trained with Philip Urso, Stacey Dockins and Deborah Williamson at their Live, Love, Teach Advanced Vinyasa Flow Teacher Training earning another 75 hours of training. I love to learn and share with my new knowledge with students!
I graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University in New York and have worked in marketing and as a professional writer for many years. Yoga is an antidote to my busy life and, along with the love of my family, keeps me grounded and at peace. I have also traveled the world and love combining teaching and travel—two of my passions.
