Taylor Wideman

My name is Taylor Wideman and I was born in Calgary Alberta in 1965.  I took an interest in fitness when I was 14 when my mom dragged me to the gym to play raquette ball (as her regular partner had broke her ankle). At 14 the last place I wanted to be was at the gym with my mom.  I soon found my way into the weight room and I was hooked.  I graduated from high school in 1984 and went on to college to become a teacher.  After my first year of school I realized that I wanted to teach fitnes to adults not children in a traditional school setting. I was married by 20 and having babies by 22 so I had to take all my fitness training in weekend modules. Within a few short years I started teaching aerobic classes and then finally realized my dream and opened my own 10,000 squarefoot gym in 1995.  I sold that in 2001 as my husband made a career change which took us to a whole new city.  By this time I had taken my Pilates training and Bodytalk training and I opened InsideOut Health which encompassed a pilates/yoga studio and healing modalities. I have 3 daughters and 1 grandson and have been married for 26 years.  I enjoy much personal freedom that being self employed and in the fitness industry has brought me!
