Jaimie Bayer

Jaimie Bayer has been working in the health and fitness field for six years. She began her work in 2006 at Healthworks Fitness Centers for Women in Boston, MA. As an ACE® Certified Personal Trainer she obtained her Mike Boyle functional training certificate and had the opportunity to develop strength and conditioning programs for runners and weight loss clients. She was an avid long distance runner at the time and wanted to help other runners develop stronger and more efficient trunks and hip girdles. After many overuse injuries, she hung up her shoes and went in a different direction. That direction was to the beach. After a surf trip to Costa Rica she fell in love with surfing and the ocean and decided to move her practice to San Diego, CA.

In 2007 she moved to Cardiff, CA where she began working for Frog's Fitness. There she continued to work with runners, weight loss clients and became a N.A.S.M. Pre/Post Natal certified trainer. Jaimie began co-teaching boot camp style classes with another master trainer at Frog's. Later that year, a Physical Education teacher position for an elementary school in Carlsbad, CA drew her away from the gym and onto the field with children in late 2007. She continued to train clients on the side at their homes, but concentrated her efforts in fitness programs for youth.

While teaching P.E. Jaimie enrolled and obtained her Clinical Nutritionist certification in 2008 from the Natural Healing Institute, where she continues to take classes in Herbology and other holistic wellness topics. Within the nutrition and healing field she specializes in digestive disorders. Adding to her hobbies and interests, she began practicing hot yoga at Yoga Tropics in Encinitas, CA in 2008. Prior to, Jaimie had practiced Ashtanga yoga for over five years, but after feeling the healing benefits a heated room can offer, she decided to enroll in the teacher training program in 2010. She had a great opportunity with Yoga Tropics and began to teach and develop their Yoga Sculpt program.

In June of 2011, Jaimie moved once again to Mammoth Lakes, CA and started working at Snowcreek Athletic Club, where she still resides. She personal trains and is now teaching group fitness classes, including Tabata Blast, willPower & Grace, Indoor Cycle Jam, Cardio Conditioning and H.I.T (High-Intensity Interval Training). She continues to teach Power Yoga and Yoga Scuplt.

Jaimie spends her time between Encinitas, CA and Mammoth Lakes, CA. She enjoys surfing, snowboarding, weight lifting, yoga, mountain biking and writing. As a semi-raw foodist she enjoys writing, reading and developing new recipes and exploring new ideas within the Raw Food World.
