About Your Trainer:

Doris Ward is a native of Sackville NB and has returned to Prince Edward Island to make Cornwall her home. She shares her passion for achieving optimal health and fitness and offers her personal training and other fitness services through her business For the Love of Fitness PEI throughout the communities of her province. She is a go-getter, who loves to challenge herself and others to excel and be their personal best.   Doris has been a runner for 20 years completing over 100 fundraising races and been actively working out in gyms since the age of 18 pairing her love of running with strength training, Pilates and yoga.

With over 17 years of proven career experience she can be the mind-body coach that makes the difference in your overall life through coaching and consistency and guiding you through the benefits of empowered choices and using mindful movement to feel your best.

She has helped hundreds of clients by guiding them to reach their goals and and develop positive habits through effective mind-body connection strategies using results-oriented functional workouts. Doris designs innovative, individualized and energetic circuit training style programs that include core stabilization, flexibility & total body strength through a holistic approach.

Each exercise program is customized for every individual’s needs & goals because every client is unique and deserves their own personalized exercise program.  Doris believes that with encouragement, consistency and the right support and access to tools and resources, anyone is capable of achieving their fitness goals. With that belief she leads her sessions with a choice-based and team approach where decisions and choices are made by the client with gentle coaching from her to help her client move forward in ways that provide the best outcome for her clients.

Doris has successfully trained hundreds of clients in the past 17 years ranging from beginners to elite athletic enthusiasts. Doris leads with professionalism, passion and proactive attitude to ensure everyone's fitness experience is fun, effective and individualized. She is a well-known writer for the health and wellness magazine OptiMYz since 2010 & has been certified in Personal Training, STOTT Pilates, BOSU, Group Fitness, Trauma-Informed Yoga, Schwinn Cycling, and Mental Health First Aid. She has completed formal training in mindfulness, yoga for trauma, life coaching and body positivity.
