Elizabeth Vino

Elizabeth Vino is a Master Barre Instructor for Equinox.  She is featured as the global face of barre in Equinox's 2016 marketing campaign.  Elizabeth is a long time AFAA and NASM provider, and her barre certifications and programs are still the only internationally approved programs on the market with no limitations and no non-compete agreements (completed in 7 hours or less). Elizabeth authored all of the copyrighted and trademarked training manuals her company, Definitive Barre Fitness, uses to certify and train elite barre instructors. Her articles on barre, titled, "Barre Virtuoso" , as well as her image have been published in American Fitness Magazine, Self Magazine and on blogs such as Fitpro, Ltd (London).

Definitive Barre's Level I Barre Certification is approved by AFAA for 6 CEUs, and NASM for .6 CEUs in a one-day certification. DBF's 4-hour Level II workshop, for advanced and tenured barre instructors only is approved for 4 AFAA CEUs and .4 NASM CEUs respectively.

ELIZABETH VINO, CPBA, CPVA

Elizabeth’s professional experience includes extensive dance training, performance and teaching. She began her formal dance study in her mother’s Miami, Florida studio at the age of five and went on to train in New York, Boston, and in New Jersey with world renown, Madame Irene Fokine. She attended Texas Christian University on a ballet scholarship and danced lead roles in Ballets such as Pequita, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and the Nutcracker.

In addition to Elizabeth’s expertise in teaching dance and fitness, she has enjoyed an extensive career in Corporate Training and Development serving as a Consultant for large corporations throughout the U.S. including Lockheed Martin – working with airport security personnel after 9/11.

The unique combination of Elizabeth’s corporate training expertise and her dance and fitness acumen led to the creation and development of the copyrighted and trademarked DBF Certification Training Manuals and video series. She has found her life’s calling instructing Barre - it combines her ever-present love and passion for the arts with her enthusiasm and gift for teaching. Elizabeth is one of only a few Instructors in the U.S. certified to teach Mitana Dance in addition to classical ballet, tap, hip-hop, and jazz. She is also certified to teach Kinesis,TRX, Stages Cycling, Yoga, and Equinox's Elimin8tor and Precision Running classes.  Her home studio is Equinox in Miami, Florida.
