Katherine Smith

I have an insatiable appetite for life; an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, perpetual itchy feet and a burning desire to experience just about everything.

I am a yogi, a life coach, a writer and an entrepreneur. And my mission in life is to inspire and heal others.

I have practiced yoga for roughly 10 years. The same 10 years that I spent working in busy advertising agencies, mostly in London, where I was always tired – always supremely stressed – trying to quietly ignore the gnawing feeling inside that I was missing something.

When burn out and Chronic Fatigue replaced the sense of satisfaction I’d been hoping to find and western medicine couldn’t provide answers I turned to yoga and it made me feel alive again, in a way that nothing else could.

So I woke up one day (and I mean REALLY woke up) and decided things needed to change. More than once, I have packed a bag, booked a flight and taken a leap into the unknown.

Inspired, I began feeling a strong calling to share the joy of yoga with others and I took the first steps into becoming a teacher.

I did my first TTC with Paul Dallaghan at Yoga Thailand, Koh Samui, in 2010 and through my own continued dedication to yoga I have learnt from, practiced with and have been influenced by some of the most highly respected teachers inLondon and around the world. Most recently I continued my education in Goa with
my Indian teacher Kranti at the Chakra Yoga School, Patnem.

I have been fortunate to visit some of the most far flung corners of the globe where I spent time among people with a very different outlook on life from us here in the west, which has given me a balanced insight into what is truly important and some rather funny stories too. (Click on the Blogger sign at the top of the page to read them!)

I teach from the heart, from a place of authenticity and have a genuine desire to share what I have learnt on my own journey to create change in you.

Always inquisitive, I have a natural curiosity for what makes each of us tick. I believe that everyone has a unique gift to share, a reason for being and unimaginable potential. And it is in the discovery of our purpose that we find true happiness and contentment.

Through yoga I have come to understand the importance of the mind-body connection and became interested in how our experiences & perceptions of the world around us creates our reality and defines our inner world, that shapes our outer world – and how simply these can be altered to bring about profound change. This is why I decided to train as a coach; to help you transform your own life and find the thing that will bring fulfilment.
