Linda Dunphy

With nearly 25 years of yoga and athletic experience, Linda Dunphy offers her students an in-depth wellspring of balanced and invigorating yoga and fitness experiences.  As a 500 RYT abvanced Hour Certified Yoga Instructor with Yoga Alliance and Certified in Yoga for Osteoporosis she offers skillful and lively class modality, where students learn and practice the postures that stretch and strengthen muscles; enhance greater flexibility, balance and posture; and, cultivate more efficient breathing for calming the mind and reducing stress.  She also blends other forms of fitness for variety by teaching mat pilates, yoga with weights for sculpturing, and more energetic fitness classes focused on large group muscles movements and strength building.   

She has over 1000 hours of teaching. Locations include Source Yoga, Sport and Health, White House Athletic, Fit Bodies/Fit Travel and in her community in her Northern Virginia area. Continual trainings keeps her practice innovative and responsive to clients interest.  She possesses current first aid and CPR certifications.  She and her husband Charlie are avid bikers and travelers.   She has a consulting business in serving the early childhood community after a 20 year executive career in nonprofit community.
