Heather Gunn

Heather “Healthguru”is a vivacious mom of three, a health nut and fearless adventurist by heart.  She practices as a seasoned Clinical Herbalist, Zumba Instructor, Nutrition coach, Fitness coach and Reiki healer. She is an avid believer in the power of physical movement and using plants to heal most body imbalances.   Heather has professionally studied dance in the form of ballet, jazz, tap, modern, African, and various cultural character dances.  Zumba has been an amazing addition to her dance practice as she integrates years of previous study with the exciting world of fun exercise. Heather earned her Master’s Degree of Science in Herbal Therapeutics from Tai Sophia Institute and has studied healing modalities of all types, blending traditional knowledge with current science. She is also a motivational speaker on Women’s Holistic Health topics including reproductive health, overall wellness, and fitness.   Heather currently operates her own private wellness practice, Lucca Amel Wellness which integrates herbal therapeutics, healing foods and exercise and is a certified member of the American Herbalist Guild.   

As a Holistic Healer, Heather has assisted clients in attaining a healthier lifestyle for the past 9 years.  She is an avid believer in the power of foods, plants and physical movement to heal any ailment. Plant medicine, natural medicine and alternative medicine are each universal terms to describe Mother Nature’s gifts on earth, which are powerful tools that our bodies can utilize to repair itself.

Her companies, Lucca Amel Wellness LLC, and Hey You Hot Mamas (HYHM) blogspot are dedicated to serving women across the globe and strategically focusing on the comprehensive health of the individual.  She currently sees clients on a referral basis in the area and for those who live farther away she offers the possibility of telephone consultations. She lectures and teaches at locations throughout the Washington DC metropolitan area.
