I bring a love of yoga philosophy and anatomy into my classes. I came to yoga because of a series of injuries from competive sports so my classes are fairly athletic with modifications to fit every body. I try to combine the restful mind-body connection with strengthening and opening the body. My training combins creative sequending with traditional postures. I think the most important thing about a yoga class is that each student practices safely and has a fun time.
Here's some more information about me. I have a MS in Botany and I love the outdoors. I live in a small mountain town so that I can be close to recreation opportunities such as whitewater rafting, skiing, and hiking. I'm also an avid gardner and I work on stream restoration projects for the County. The best thing about where I live is that I can wake up late, go skiing, and take or teach a yoga class all in the same day.
