Before becoming a pilates instructor, I was (and still am:) a belly dancer. I actively teach and perform belly dance and have perfomed internationaly for many years. I have also studied with some of the best teachers and choreographers of MIddle Eastern dance in Egypt.
Pilates helped me tremedously in changing and strengthening my body, and I have become a better dancer after extensively training in pilates. I love being a pilates instructor and seeing the positive changes in the lives of my clients, as well. My first position as a pilates instructor was at a studio called ORS Pilates & Yoga, and I had the good fortune to work for a renown physical therapist, Cindy Bailey. Under her supervision I learned so much about rehabilitating injuries and the complex process of understanding and taking care of a client who is recovering. At present, I work at YogaWorks, a wonderful company that encourages continuing education for its employees, and I am now finishing a course in Prenatal Pilates (which I very much enjoyed).
I am also a soon-to-be graduate of St. Mary's College, where I received a partial scholarship toward a Liberal Arts Degree with a major in Dance. It is a wonderful program for professional dancers seeking to expand their career horizons!
I still love to travel and would very much enjoy the opportunity to combine my passion for fitness and teaching with my passion for travel:-))
