I found Yoga after I graduated from college. As a track athlete and volleyball player I had done so much damage to my knees and body that typical western medicine had no solution for me except surgery or pain medication. I knew their had to be another way. After discovering Yoga my body began a transformation that I didn't believe would ever be possible. I could walk without pain again, sleep through the night without waking up due to back pain, etc.
I am now a huge advocate for Yoga as an important part of everyone's excercise regime. The strength and flexibility one can attain will make your life better and more complete. I have been practicing Yoga for over 15 years, 8 years with a focus on Hatha Yoga and the last 7 years with a focus in Anusara Yoga. I also have familiarity with most other schools of Yoga, having taken classes in most of them.
My personal practice is at a level III in the Anusara Yoga school and I have taught classes from beginner to level II. I also have experience teaching a large class with varying ability levels.
