Yoga has been a vital part of my life for over twenty years. I am a versitile intstructor with experience teaching in health clubs, spas, and yoga studios. I have also taught in corporate and convention settings. My practice is rooted in the Astanga Vinyasa tradition as it was taught by Patabhi Jois. I have studied intensively with one of his closest students, Bhavanhi Maki at her studio on the island of Kauai and in San Francisco. I strongly believe that yoga should be tailored to the specific needs of the students. I love to mix a vinyasa based practice with restorative poses and basic pranayama. I currently work as a psychotherapist in private practice and with adolescents in a inpatient psychiatric hospital. Teaching yoga helps keep me balanced and healthy and i look forward for an oppertunity to share yoga with others while they are on vacation in a place of beauty.
