Ali Helms

Ali specializes in dynamic personal training and offers workshops and master classes to fitness professionals.  She inspires others to fitness by teaching exciting, motivating, and innovative styles of personal training and group fitness.

She is a native of North Carolina and has been in the fitness industry since 1974.  A former champion ballroom dancer, Ali has a BS degree in dance education from the University of NC @ Greensboro, where she performed in their dance company for 4 years.

After college, Ali went on to dance professionally at Busch Gardens, VA, Opryland, Nashville TN, and New York City, NY.  Ali was the chairperson for Workout for Hope in Charlotte NC.  She provides continuing education credits for the YMCA of the USA, BOSU, and ISCA with ACE and AFAA.

In addition to the multiple certifications that she currently holds, Ali has been a member of IDEA and works as the captain of the set-up team for the World Fitness Convention and the Personal Trainer Institute.

Ali currently holds a 2nd degree black belt in Songham Taekwondo and is the 2007/2008 Triple Crown World Champion as well as the Florida State Champion 2006 and 2007.

Ali is currently the fitness director of the Jewish Community Alliance, which has won the accolade of Best Fitness Center, Best Programs, and #1 in Personal Training Sales for 3 straight years according to a benchmarking conducted at the national level.

Ali was chosen as one of five personal trainers in Jacksonville FL to appear on the local ABC/NBC affiliate for their Family Fitness Challenge.  Her family won the challenge by changing their lifestyle and meeting their personal goals.

She trains clients daily ranging from ages 13 - 65 from elite athletes to obese, as well as teaching Pilates, yoga, kickboxing, and Zumba every week.
