I am a health nut and huge fitness enthusiast--fitness adventurer is more like it. I love trying out new fitness formats and trends. But I have two big loves: Zumba and Crossfit. I have been taking Zumba classes for two years and I loved the instructor, however, when I had to move to a new city I couldn't find any instructors that matched her passion. I've always loved dancing and decided to become licensed to teach Zumba--and it was the best thing I've done. I love my classes and they love my high-energy, upbeat routines. I've been told I have "swag" and if there is one thing you can count on, it's that my classes will be packed. An instructor's enthusiam, passion and energy can be felt immediately by students and act as a motivator.
Crossfit has been in my life since my days in the Air Force, although it played a very small role at first. Recently, I decided to give Crossfit another try and it took ahold of me. To say that I am obsessed with Crossfit is pretty accurate. In ways that I never thought possible, it has positively affected me in every area of my life; I'm feel more confident and capable. I feel stronger, especially mentally. I am looking forward to gaining my Crossfit Level 1 Certification at the end of October 2012 and I can't wait to pass this wonderful sport on to many, many others. My ultimate goal is to one day own my own Crossfit "box" where I can also teach Zumba.
