I graduated from Concordia University with an Undergraduates degree in Psychology. I absolutely loved the field and find it has helped me succeed a lot as a fitness instructor, in terms of having good client-trainer relationships. I am 26 years old, and although I have only been working in the field for 3 years, fitness has always been a passion of mine - I have been training personally since i was 17 years old, and before that i was a swimmer.
When i started off, i was solely working with kids as young as 3 and teens as old as 18. I would hold classes at a studio and/or go into their schools and run fitness programs. Once i got certified, i began working with adults (teaching Kettlebell, Gravity, Kickboxing, Jump Rope, Bosu, Trx etx ... )and I realized that this is what i want to always be doing; There is no better feeling then knowing you were responsible for helping people achieve their goals!!
A passion of mine is incorporating fitness into fundraising. I teach a Bootcamp "4 a cause" class which is a donation class, where every year the money is pooled and donated to a different cause. This all began last year when i participated in the Ride to Conquer Cancer. This year, i participated in the Cedars CanSupport Dragon Boat Race.... This is something i plan to doing every year.
I consider myself to be extremely hard working, responsible, energetic, out going and friendly, and i think it would be a great experience to be able to travel and teach at the same time!!
