"When you become comfortable with uncertainty, infinite possibilities open up in your life, " by Elkhart Tolle. This line from one of his books has become my favorite quote. When you release the known, the comfortable, the dependable, the mundane...when you stop clinging and let go, you will then allow yourself to uncover your dreams and the path you're meant to follow. The Universe will support you and you will see doors opening all around you. I recently walked away from my $120,000 a year salary/career to pursue my passion in yoga and wellness. I have been a part of the fitness industry since 1995, when I first began teaching step aerobics at the local gym. Since that time, I have morphed and grown as a group fitness instructor and have found my new niche....yoga! I have been practicing yoga since 2005. One day, after teaching my kick-butt, loud, hard core, step aerobics class, I decided to stay for the class immediately following...vinyasa yoga class. I fell in love in that moment and have grown immensely in mind, body and spirit since that first yoga class. After practicing ever advancing yoga over the years, I knew it was time to become a yoga teacher. I wanted share my passion for this amazing practice with anyone who would let me. I have been a 200 hour certified yoga teacher since July 2012, and I continue to teach private as well as group classes in Fairhope, AL. In pursuit of my passion, I live day to day not knowing what 6 months down the road will look like. I am becoming comfortable with the unknown, and I am enjoying the way it forces me to live in the present. Om shanti, shanti, shanti.
