- Kenny House
Kenny House grew up in Bethesda, Maryland. Since 1976, he has made Wilmington, NC his home. In 2009, he married Yolanda, the love of his life. Kenny works full time as the Clinical Director of an outpatient substance abuse and mental health counseling program. He oversees several community prevention and outreach programs to youth and their families as well.
Kenny House played #1 singles and doubles for all four (4) years of his collegiate tennis career at Ferrum College (1974-1976) and then at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (1976-1978). Kenny has won several NC state championships in 25, 35, 40, 45, and 50 mens and mixed doubles. In 1993, he won the Mens 35 Singles State (NC) Title. Kenny has been ranked in the top 5 of the State (NC) Singles ranking in his age bracket for the past several years.
Since 2011, Kenny and his doubles partner have been the #2 ranked 55s team in the USA. Kenny has taught several high school, college aged, and adult players over the past several years.
In his spare time, Kenny and his wife Yolanda enjoy: Dancing, Reading, Tennis, Walking, Traveling, Community volunteer work with youth & young leaders.
