I began my yoga practice 5 years ago the way many Portlanders do: as a warm toasty refuge from the drizzly Oregon winter. As the seasons changed, however, I found myself still gravitating to the studio. I started noticing so many other positive benefits of yoga, besides heat. I worked for a nonprofit organization fulltime, and though I loved my job, yoga offered both a physical and mental release from the sedentary and stressful work. I completed teacher training through CorePower’s 200 hour certification, and am thrilled to enter the world of teaching yoga. Since December 2011, I have taught weekly classes for private clients including 2121 Belmont, The Clymb, and SheJumps. In addition, I taught at Sprout Health, a donation-based yoga studio in Portland, OR. I love watching my yoga students of all levels transform during their 60 minute practices, both physically and mentally.
