Parvathi Kumar

Parvathi Kumar was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, raised in Montreal, Quebec, and currently lives in central New Jersey with her husband and two sons. Though her formal education was in electrical engineering & computer science (B.E. from Concordia University, Montreal and M.S. from NJIT, Newark), she currently works as a professional photographer, exhibiting throughout NJ and running her own business.  She is also a classical guitarist, dancer (Bharata Natyam) and deep yoga enthusiast. Her true Yoga training started five years ago at Gurukul Yoga Holistic Center in Bridgewater, NJ from where she also completed her Yoga Teacher/Therapist Training in the Spring of 2012.  She is a firm believer in Yoga's universality, its transformational power and the peace it brings about with simple Yogic stretches, breathing and relaxation/meditation techniques.
