Several years ago, I embarked on a journey to renew my spirit, strengthen my body, and ignite my passion for life. That journey led me to Nosara, Costa Rica where I received intense yoga training. Yoga has taught me invaluable life lessons that extend beyond exercise and healthy living. It teaches discipline and control. Yoga has brought new purpose to my life and a revelation of the importance of creating and enjoying rich relationships with family and friends and bringing harmony within the world around me. Yoga allows me to connect with my mat and transport myself to greater heights emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. What I enjoy most about teaching yoga is the ability to engage with people of all types in an open, stress-free environment that encourages creativity and pure living, and promotes unity.
In my classroom, my students have the opportunity to learn a variety of yoga techniques that can alleviate stress and bring about a sense of harmony. I teach and assist my students in moving their spines in all six directions. Currently, as a 200 RYT certified yoga instructor, I teach Ashtanga Inspired Yoga, Beginner Yoga, and Vinyasa Flow to accommodate my students at every level. After all, yoga isn’t a race to the finish line, “you must begin from where you are.” I believe in working hard, but understand that every one must follow his or her journey and achieve at their own pace.
