I practiced and competed in gymnastics for seven years and found an increased interest in weight training and aerobics once my gymnastics years had come to an end due to finishing high school.  I originally became interested in weight training as a high school freshman and went on to become the teaching assistant, demonstrating classic lifting techniques for underclassmen.  During college I began my training as a hi-lo aerobics instructor at the University of Washington and earned my first group fitness certification in 1993. I also began teaching body conditioning and weight training at the university.  While attending the University of Washington, I took many fine arts dance classes including ballet, jazz, and modern dance. 

Immediately after receiving my college degree, I studied for and obtained both a Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer certification through A.C.E. and started personal training while continuing to teach a variety of fitness classes.  I started my in-home training business, Priority:Fitness, in 1996 and then opened a studio in 2006.  I now teach a variety of group fitness classes and continue my personal training through my business out of my in-home studio.

I absolutely love teaching group fitness classes and working with the music to create inspiring, effective, unforgettable workouts every single time I teach.  I love helping others make a breakthrough and start craving exercise and owning their own fitness.  I like helping people work with their current situation, whether they're recovering from an injury, trying to get back in shape after being out of the loop for a while, stepping it up to the next level if they've been working out for years, or even going through a stressful time in life.
