Lara Foldvari

Lara Foldvari has been dancing for 40+ years. At the age of four, she began her training in classical ballet at The Boston Ballet, followed by The Connecticut Ballet, and The New Haven Ballet. Lara is certified as a Sport Yoga Instructor and Lifestyle & Weight Management Specialist by NESTA (the National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association); is certified by AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America) in Group Exercise and Practical Pilates™; and is certified by ACE (American Council on Exercise) as a Personal Trainer.  In addition, she is licensed to teach Zumba®, the Latin-inspired dance fitness class. She is also certified by the American Heart Association in CPR/AED, and is insured.

YoLarates™ is a blend of yoga, Pilates and ballet moves as interpreted by Lara. The class starts with a warm-up of basic moves from yoga and ballet, followed by sun and moon salutations.  We then move to the ballet portion of class, which also includes aspects from Callanetics & the Lotte Berk Method.  The class continues onto the floor for a little more leg & butt work before concentrating on Pilates abs exercises. A cool-down and stretch complete the class.
