As a student of dance from a young age, breath, body, and movement have always sustained me.  Yoga has always provided a beautiful fusion of mind-body awareness.  During my freshman year of college I began meditating, practicing on my own, and occasionally teaching friends just for fun.  Soon to follow I had started a student organization at my college dedicated to yoga.  The student following was humbling and the experience that came out of those years made me the instructor that I am today.

Upon graduating from college I realized the full potential of my passion for teaching yoga.  The next year of my life would include not only the privilege of teaching classes at a small studio in Moorhead, MN, but also working as an Assistant Manager for the studio.  In that year I completed a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) certification through Devanadi Yoga as well as the first level of Thai Yoga Bodywork with Tanya Boigenzahn Sowards, E-RYT 500.

My journey lead me to William Mitchell College of Law in the fall of 2010 where I began as a first-year student.  I founded "Mitchell Yogis" and taught yoga for my fellow classmates once a week.  Now as I approach my third and final year of school, I am continuously inspired to bring the positive energy and gratitude I have for the life I live into my experiences on and off the mat.  I hope one day to meet each and every one of you that come across this page wondering if yoga can be for you.  It can.  Be open.  Try something new.  Let go.

Namaste,

Erin
