I have been practicing yoga for 14 years. I started doing yoga with my daughter when she was 1 month old and then moved on to taking Ashtanga and Bikram classes. I decided that I wanted to teach and took a 200 RYT course which opened my eyes to many more types of yoga and how it could heal your body, at that point I needed to know more and taught my first restorative class which I called Sleep and Restore, I got such great feed back that I decided to learn more about Yoga Therapy and started working with a handful of co workers. I knew my learning wasnt done and started training for my RPYT. I learnt more than I could have ever expected about the female body and how to help women who are post and pre natal through yoga. Having babies as young as 6 months can be challenging for both baby and mom, seeing that some moms where going through post partum I felt it was my duty to learn more about yoga for depression. I always feel that we need to keep learning. We sometimes negelect our bodies and our minds and forget that we need to nurture ourselves.
