Camille’s career in fitness began over 25 years ago and includes a B.S. in Education with an Exercise Science curriculum and Sports Medicine emphasis. She continued her education with graduate classes in Exercise Science and has completed a Masters in Business Administration June 2002. Using techniques from Eastern and Western philosophies, Camille has helped hundreds of people both nationally and internationally realize and achieve their fitness potential.
Camille has taught a variety of classes and incorporates innovative and creative choreography to keep her participants enthused and motivated. Her first fitness company began as "Aerobics To Go," in Detroit, MI and Brooklyn, NY. In 1992 she moved to Chicago and renamed it “Fitness By Camille,†offering personal training with the goal of empowering her clients towards better health and fitness. In 1997, as host of “Shape-Up Chicago,†over 300,000 households were able to tune in daily for sweat motivation! April 1998, Camille produced and hosted a new show “Sweat Motivation,†teaching over 1,000,000 viewers that anyone has the time and energy to look good and feel better! In Dec. 1998 she brought Sweat Motivation to www.ivillage.com in a weekly chat form and the video and booklet became available April 1999. Camille has published or appeared in various publications including, Essence, Fitness, Wednesday Journal, The Oak Leaves, International Dance & Exercise Personal Trainer, Windy City Sports, and the Chicago Defender. She has consulted and appeared in many other print, event, and television mediums. Also, in 1999 she expanded her consulting to the international market for BFY Sports in Mumbai, India.
From 2002-2005 Camille was Health & Wellness Director at Oak Park YMCA and brought new classes, wellness events, energy, and media recognition, to the program and the community. In Jan. 2005 Camille began providing wellness services to both the consumer and corporations. She has also joined the faculty of Robert Morris College in the Department of Health Studies, and is an exercise specialist for both Boeing World Headquarters and the Department of Health and Human Services. As executive producer and host of the new and improved “Sweat Motivation,†she looks forward to 2006 delivering the best and cutting-edge health and wellness information in both print and visual media.
Camille's charitable endeavors include, the African-American Association of Fitness Professionals of which she co-founded in 1991, Habitat for Humanity and the American Red Cross.
