Natalie Doornink

 

Natalie attended Carthage College in Kenosha, WI and has a degree in Exercise Sports Science & Physical Education K-12 with a minor in coaching. Natalie has been in the fitness industry for 14 years. In the past, Natalie ran track and cross country and did so successfully by competing at state 4 consecutive years in high school and qualifying for nationals at the college level. Hard work and dedication to training highly influenced who she is today as a woman, mother, wife and fitness enthusiast. Natalie is goal oriented, determined, and passionate about fitness and people.

Natalie started her fitness career with Ross Clinics & The MN center for Rehabilitation while working part time as the fitness coordinator at the East YMCA in St.Paul, MN. Later Natalie was promoted to full-time Fitness and Active Older Adults Director and led a variety of fitness classes, and promoted older adults trips, events and classes . Natalie and her husband started a family and she was blessed with the opportunity to work at the Hazelden Foundation as the Fitness Specialist. Currently, she is the owner of FitNat Exercise Design & Consulting and provides personal training and various fitness services to the community and surrounding areas.

Natalie partners in a large community program "FIT CLUB' that supports, encourages, and teaches participants to live a healthy lifestyle through diet and exercise. The winners of the weight loss and points competition win a trip to Mexico and are given the opportunity to take classes with Natalie on the beach and in a studio atmosphere. The week is filled with activities, team building, relaxation and accountability with Natalie. 

Natalie's goal for each person is that regardless of age, weight, or ability level; each person walks away feeling successful and accomplished in the time they share with her. Fitness is more than a workout, it is all encompassing. 

Natalie strives for balance and feels fortunate to have a successful fitness career, while being able to be active with her children. She most enjoys running, hiking, traveling, watching football (go Vikings!) , and especially loves sunny warm weather!
