EXPERIENCE/BIO: hello, i am kris, a certified yoga instructor, fully dedicated to its study, practice and teachings. i started practicing yoga in 2007 as a way to relax and de-stress from the daily grind as a TV ad executive. recognizing the need to slow down, release tension and take better care of myself, i have found peace, balance and a higher quality of life through a consistent yoga and meditation practice. i continue to experience the many benefits of my practice daily and i am committed to sharing my knowledge and instruction with all those open to learn. i have traveled the country and world to study, practice and teach both yoga and meditation. i received more than 200 hours of teacher training from Guru Sinduma Nayar at Sinduma?s home in Kerala, India. i spent the majority of 2012 back in India where i received more than 300 hours of training in Yoga, Zen Meditation and Vipassana Meditation. i believe that the benefits of yoga and meditation are available to all - so long as you have a pulse, you can practice. at the same time, i gently, yet firmly remind you that consistency is key to maximizing the benefits of practice. should you decide to practice with me, know i will share my experience and passion through a comprehensive, yet simple practice rooted in breath awareness, always in a safe and comfortable environment. the many benefits of yoga and meditation include, but are certainly not limited to, improved: flexibility, balance, strength, focus, awareness, peace and well-being.
